Fall Fun

Did you think we’d let the spookiest season of all come and go without putting together a compilation of seasonal interests for our readers? Think again! Check out our short list of activities to connect with that fall feeling.

Carve Pumpkins

It’s only right that we start our fall list with a seasonal classic. An activity that never gets old, pumpkin carving is a fun way to let your creativity show. Is safety a concern to you and your family? No worries, you can easily replace knives with markers and have just as much fun. Make sure to save the seeds for a delicious, roasted snack afterward!

Visit a Haunt

For those of you with a love of all things horror, we suggest visiting a haunt to get in the Halloween spirit. Attractions like Nightmare Realm are sure to make your skin crawl, in a good way of course, and keep you entertained for hours.

Visit an Orchard

Picking apples, eating pies, taking hayrides, and petting goats. These are just a few of the activities you may encounter when visiting an orchard in the fall. Interested in planning an outing for friends or family? VerHage’s Fruit Farm & Cider Mill is a great place to start!

Take in the Fall Colors

There aren’t enough words to describe just how magisterial Michigan’s fall colors are. The reds, oranges, and yellows of the season all blend into a beautiful collage of change. Don’t just take our word for it. Find out for yourself and use our past blog as a guide of where to visit in and around Kalamazoo!

Check out Skeletour

Our final fall activity is a no-brainer. Skeletour is a growing tradition courtesy of the Downtown Kalamazoo Partnership. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with this month-long event, check out our previous blog on the topic.

All good things eventually end and so must this short list. We hope these ideas help set your fall festivities off right! As always, please let us know of your favorite fall activities in the comments section on Facebook and Twitter.
