It's no secret, we love highlighting the local businesses that call Kalamazoo home. This week, we would like to celebrate several local black-owned businesses and share the products and services they offer.

This list is not exhaustive, but we hope that it inspires our readers to check out some businesses they may have not visited before. Without further ado, let’s get down to “business” and meet some of the black-owned businesses that enrich our community.

Mamaleelu Cold Brew

We start our list with a line of coffee that can be found at retailers in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Plainwell, and Lansing. Since the brand was launched in 2014, Mamaleelu features delicious flavors such as Dark Night of The Sol and Liberation by Moonlight.
