Internship Opportunities

We know that things are a little unpredictable in the world right now, but it is still important for young professionals to continue building their resumes and gaining relevant experience whenever possible. Finding these opportunities can be hard so, to help get the ball rolling, we compiled a short list of great internship opportunities throughout Kalamazoo.

Ascension Borgess - Nursing Intern

A hospital can never have enough nurses, which is why Ascension Borgess has an opening for a Nursing Intern. This individual will observe the status of patients, document observations, and assist in the development of care plans among other duties. With applications due April 3, interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

StructureTec Group - Recruiting Intern

Attention all extroverts, StructureTec Group needs an affable Recruiting Intern who can help the organization grow its brand! While working alongside a Corporate Recruiter, the intern will screen job candidates, create job descriptions, streamline the organization’s recruiting process, and perform administrative duties.

Kalamazoo Institute of Arts - Various Internships

If you have an interest in art or art history, then an internship at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts is worth considering. Past internships have included roles in education, library services, marketing, and advancement. Candidates are asked to email a letter of interest, resume, and writing sample in PDF format.

Public Media Network - Various Production Internships

Every fall, spring, and summer, Public Media Network holds internships in video production and social media/marketing. Additionally, year-round internships in broadcast journalism are available for students whose goal is to become the next Barbara Walters. Binder Park Zoo - Various Internships

Closing out our list are three internship positions from Binder Park Zoo. Applicants for the Animal Care Intern, Education Intern, and Special Events Intern roles must be willing to work a flexible schedule regardless of weather conditions or holidays. These internships are available year-round, however, duties may be affected by the season.
